It shows you how to meet your nutritional needs by consuming a wide variety of foods. It provides recommendation on how to substitute nutrient-rich foods for less healthy alternatives. It can be used together with MyPlate.gov to help you make changes to your diet. Schlenker, R. (2011). Williams' Essentials of Nutrition and Diet Therapy, 10th Edition. This book is a reference manual that covers a variety of topics to include basic nutrition, community-related nutrition issues, contemporary health issues and their relation to nutrition, and clinical nutrition.
